Parent Teacher Conference Days
We will have Parent Teacher Conference Days October 20-23, 2014. This year we will NOT be having our Early Release Days for conferences, but instead we will be offering times during teacher planning times. We would like to meet with parents to discuss your child’s progress and areas for improvement.
Red Ribbon Week
We will have special events taking place each day of Red Ribbon Week to celebrate being drug free. Please help your child to remember each what to wear each day according to schedule below. This year’s theme is “My Character Counts I’m Drug Free!”
Reminder we will also have a poster contest this week. Each student is invited to make a poster with an anti-drug message. The poster should be on poster board and can use markers, crayons, colored pencils, glitter, etc. to decorate the poster. Since this is a contest, the work must be that of the student. We will select one winner per grade level to receive a prize. Please turn your poster into Mrs. Shell- Counselor no later than Thursday, Oct. 23rd so they can be displayed in the school. Please label with your name and homeroom teacher.
Finally, our annual peanut butter and jelly drive is taking place this week. Remember to bring in your jars of peanut butter and/or jelly to give to Garden Lakes Baptist food pantry. The class with highest number of jars will receive a pizza party. We will collect jars until Friday.
